Reconditioned Straight Stairlift

Save money and the environment by buying a second-hand model. Every reconditioned model is refurbished to the highest of standards before receiving our quality seal of approval, and once installed on your stairs it will look as good as new. Normally these models are only a few years old, and we’re so confident in their quality we even offer extended warranties on them too. A tailor-made rail will be made to suit your stair measurements

Reconditioned Straight Stairlift Stairlift Key Features

If you’d prefer to save money on buying a stairlift and do your bit to help the environment at the same time by reusing equipment, then a reconditioned/second-hand model might be the ideal solution for you.

At 1st Choice Stairlifts, we have a stock of quality reconditioned models, all thoroughly checked over by our workshop engineer and ready to be installed.  If you have a curved staircase you can find out about our curved reconditioned models here.

So why buy a second-hand stairlift model from 1st Choice Stairlifts?

  1. It will save you money, often several hundred pounds cheaper by buying a reconditioned model rather than a new one.
  2. It will look as good as new when it is installed in your home.
  3. Every model has gone through our stringent safety and reconditioning process in our workshop. Any visually worn parts will be replaced.
  4. It’s covered with a 12-month warranty that can be extended further if you wish.
  5. All warranties are backed up with 24/7, 365 days a year engineering support and callout facility if you need a repair.
  6. All used models will have naturally done a little mileage but we only choose models to recondition which are a few years old and in excellent condition, to be resold.

So how do you buy a second-hand stairlift?

When models are no longer needed we remove these lifts from customer’s homes and bring them back to our workshop.  Most models are scrapped if they are too old or worn out, and the best ones are saved for reuse.

Our dedicated workshop engineer checks over and reconditions each model thoroughly.  This process takes several hours and all models are checked and run on our test rails before they are given our high-quality seal of approval for resale.  The product is thoroughly cleaned and sanitised and is wrapped, boxed, and stored ready to be resold for a quick installation.

We have various models in stock (mostly from the range shown on our website), ready to be installed in your home.

Our Surveyor will visit your home and do an assessment, measuring your stairs and you, to assess which model would best suit your needs and fit your stairs.  We will then check our live stock system on our Surveyor’s iPad where we can show you the exact model we’ll be installing on your stairs, so you can see it for yourself before you commit, then we will reserve it for you.  You are also welcome to visit our Head Office in Calne to see the exact model “in the flesh” for yourself to see just what great quality it is.  We always have customers tell us they look just like new, so we are confident you will be pleased with your purchase.

How much is a Second-Hand stairlift?

Our quality reconditioned products start from £995 inclusive of fitting and a 12-month warranty, which can be extended if you wish at an additional cost.  Our aftercare service operates 24-7, 365 days a year so if you ever need us all you have to do is call.

Who buys unwanted stairlifts?

To be able to sell reconditioned models, we buy unwanted stairlifts that are no longer needed.  If you have a model that you no longer need then give us a call so we can appraise your model and see if we can buy it back for resale.  If it is unable to be reused, we offer a removal service and will environmentally dispose of it as registered waste carriers.  Please call our Aftercare Department on 01249 814528.
